Light & Darkness: A Shadow Theatre Master Class

An intensive three day master class for established professional puppeteers and would-be practitioners committed to developing their skills and expertise led by Fabrizio Montecchi (Artistic Director, Teatro Gioco Vita) exploring every aspect of the creation of shadow theatre

Key concepts covered will include the theory and practise of the use of light, shadows and colour, and the manipulation of images and silhouettes in rehearsal and performance. There will be frequent opportunities for experimentation for participants throughout this practical master class

Fabrizio Montecchi is a leading director and set designer in contemporary shadow theatre whose innovative work over the past 30 years with Teatro Gioco Vita has been seen and enjoyed by audiences all over the world. Fabrizio has also led many master classes and workshops at puppet theatre festivals and schools throughout Europe, North and South America, as well as publishing numerous books and articles about shadow theatre

Standard: £100 per master class

Offer: Book both master classes for £150

Master class participants will receive FREE tickets for manipulate performances
